By: Jenny Cruz A 5.6 magnitude earthquake hit Bagac, Bataan. PHILVOCS released the information saying it was caused by the Lubang Fault Line last January 9, 2020. Based on the record, the epicenter of 5.6 magnitude of earthquake was located 13 kilometers northwest of Bagac, Bataan. Meanwhile, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, in their special session on Thursday, declared a state of calamity in the towns of Bagac, Bataan and Morong, Bataan. Classes at De La Salle Bataan (DLSB) were temporarily halted at 9:10 am approximately 7 mins after the incident. Students and Faculty evacuated at the grade school and high school ground. Michael Can was very pleased to say that the evacuation plan was properly observed. According to the Assistant Principal of Operation, Ms. Joy Tamano, the entire institution has safely evacuated 25 minutes after the earthquake was felt. Can together with the Brother Principal and the security officers have started inspecting the whole campus for possible damages in infrastructure. They assured that there were no major damages and hence shall only result to minor repairs for wall cracks.
